  1. About thirty-seven years ago there was a very big snow storm. It was six feet deep on level and where it gathered it was twelve feet deep. When it reached that height it began to freeze and it froze so hard that the people could walk on it easily. It remained in the way for almost a month and it was almost another, before it was all away off the ground. During this time the people stood some hardship to provide food. The people carried dead pigs on their back to the market.
