    A living I might find.
    So it came to me as I wished to be
    For in Philadelphia town
    We built ourselves a living home
    Far away from Castle Browne.

    That dear old place I longed to see,
    Where born I had been,
    Where the soft and gentle breezes blow
    From off the cliffs of Castle Green
    The Kippen rock it nobly stand
    And the water falling down
    And that rock shore
    Where the wild birds roar
    Beside old Castle Browne.

    That Castle too I'd like to view
    Its walls so straight and tall
    Where often in a Summer's day
    I climbed it when a boy
    But now alas those days are gone
