  1. About fifty years ago a man lived in this locality and he had a great desire for hunting. In those days the sporting rights belonged to the landlords and they had men employed called game keepers to prevent the tenants from encroaching on those rights. Each one of these gamekeepers was provided with a gun and plenty of ammunition.
    The game-keeper had suspicion on this man and watched him closely, for he knew he was killing a lot of the hares. He also knew his greyhound which was a black and white colour.
