  1. In olden times certain days were looked upon as being lucky or unlucky. Any person would not begin work on a Saturday. The only people that would start work on Saturday were the men with a threshing machine because they expected the work would continue for a long time. Tailors or dressmakers would not cut out any clothes on a Monday.
    People would not begin to build a house on a Monday or they would not change from one house to another
