  1. About 150 years ago a ship came wrecked into Ballea strand that is between the Cashen River and Ballybunion and the ship was loaded with butter and the butter was stolen.
There was no one in the ship only a dead man, a live man, a cat and a dog.
The live man was taken into a house at the back of Ballyea strand and was highly treated. The woman of the house said to him don't go anymore to sea as you were so lucky to bring your life safe now. He then asked her where did your father and mother die. She then said that they died in their beds. If I were you I would never go to bed.
