  1. The following is an account of the manufacture of the lined industry in olden times but there is o trace of it now.
    In olden times the manufacturing of the flax by the hand was a very slow process before it was turned into linen.
    At first the flax was set and when it was ripe to was pulled by the hand bound into sheaves and carried to be steeped and left there for a certain time then brought home and put up in a loft to dry.
