  1. The wild birds found in this district are the linnet, the robin, the wren, the lark, the gold finch, the thrush, the blackbird, the curlew, the sea gull, the cuckoo, the corncrake and the swallow.
    The cuckoo the swallow and the corncrake emigrate. The cuckoo and the corncrake come to this country in the end of April or the beginning of May and the cuckoo flies about from place to place calling out cuckoo, cuckoo.
    The corncrake is heard in the meadows and fields. The old cuckoos go away
