  2. "Scutch Grass" is a very harmful weed to potatoes. It grows only in rich land. "Crowsfoot" is commonly seen in all crops and is most harmful. It is boiled for pigs. "Slanlus" grows in all sorts of land. It is a good cure for a cut. "Buglas" (Vipers Bugloss?) grows only in rich land. It is used to reduce a swelling. "Stinking George" grows only on mossy ditches. it is pulled and mixed with lard. Then it is used for curing of a burn.
