    agreed to go there for lodging but Furl Gar told them that there was a woman there who would kill them. They went in anyhow and that woman had three daughters and put them sleeping with the three boys. When they went to bed that night the old woman tied three ribbons on her daughters neck. Furl Gar knew what would happen so he changed the ribbons when he got them asleep and put them on his brothers neck and on his own. After awhile the old woman came up with a sword and killed her three daughters. After she went down Furl Gar awakened his brothers and told them what happened and they got out on the window. They only went a short distance from the house when the old woman discovered what had happened and started after them and they ran across hills and mountains. At last they came to a big river and Furl Gar
