    counted them was "Two for me, and two for you". There was a man who was asleep, He wakened up and he heard them and he thought it was God and the Devil counting the souls. He went to a priest and told him. The priest laughed at him but he consented to go with him to the graveyard. They went and stood outside the gate. They heard the counting and the priest said it was God and the devil counting the souls. By this time the boys had all the apples counted and said "what about the two at the gate." The priest and the man thought it was they, they ment and they had to run away and hide themselves they were so much afraid.
