    wounded man's terrible embrace and found the life being gradually crushed out of him by those steel like arms. His cry for help brought Cormac rushing to his rescue. With one blow of his sword Cormac struck off Young's head, and then he revived his almost strangled brother.
    Mounting Young's charger and taking the head with him Cormac rode to Manorhamilton. It was night when he reached the castle and creeping up to the wall he threw Young's head across and into the yard, at the same time calling out a renewal of his challenge.
    Then tired and weary but still unbeaten Cormac Riabhach MacClancy (some say McGowan) made his way back to Sheeawn.
