“John Timerlean was a little boy who lived with his Mother. One day his Mother sent him out to herd.”
(continued from previous page)home. John began to roar. The Butcher threw the beef away. The fox came and ate the beef, and John began to roar again.
The fox did not know what was wrong and died. A pedlar came along and saw the fox dead. He got a knife and began to skin the fox.
He heard John saying, "Take care of my head" "Take care of my head." The pedlar threw his pack on the ground and ran.
John Timerlean looked in his pocket and got a knife and ripped up the fox and jumped out.
He got the pedlar's pack and ran to his mother. He lived happily from that day to this.A Story
