  1. Long ago a fair was held at Daniel Mc Connell's. It was called the "Rock fair". The reason it was called the "Rock fair" was because it was held behind a public house which was built on a big rock. It was held on the fifth of each month. It was usually a big fair especially in the summer months. It is about twenty-five years since the last fair was held there. It was always a very successful fair with sheep and cattle. There is also another fair in "Roshedog" which is held yet, once a year.
