- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)happen to have "cartogs" or "chilblains" they put flour or them, or if they happen to have "corns", they pare them with a razor or a razor blade. "Lamp oil is good for corns".
There is no shoemaker in this district but there were two named Patrick Donohoe and John Tully in former times. I do not know whether their ancestors were "cobblers" or not. There is a cobbler in this district named Larry Gaffney of Clifferna. Shoemakers are all gone now and the people buy the boots in the shop.
"Clogs" are still worn. The people buy the soles and they get old uppers of other boots and the cobbler makes the clogs. "Elastic" boots are still worn but they are not as much worn as in order times.- Bailitheoir
