1. Travelling Folk

   The "Travelling Folk' are not so numerous nowadays as some time ago. In the summer months these folk go around in bands and families, selling small articles, and are called gipsies.
   These parties are well-known by eyesight, and are welcomed by many as they sell gallons, basins, porringers, and strainers which many housewives purchase.
   These gipsies are not poor. In fact many of them are very rich, as the men are tradesmen, able to make those tins they sell and the women make flowers and brooches, and a lot of other things.
   These travellers have horses and donkeys tackled in vans to carry their families and their belongings. The never ask for lodgings as they have their own little tents where they sleep, mostly along the road side.
   They call at houses and ask straw for their beds, and milk for their tea. They are very decent and never interfere with
