  1. Druminbawn escaped well from the 'flu in 1918. Many were sick, but none died. A priest named Fr Gildea in Ballyjamesduff died as did Lizzie Smith, Mullamagavan and Jack and Issac Pratt (in the one house) Lisacopples.
    In Moher the 'flu raged, but I dont know of any one that died. Every one of the family were knocked up.
    Only for one man, Patrick Donoho who came safe, went from house to house feeding cattle, pigs, hens and going to the assistance of the people, and other things, all would be lost.
