  1. (continued from previous page)
All is well that ends well
    Better late than ever
Always sit at the sheltry side of the ditch.
Always put up something for the rainy day.

  2. A stitch in time saves nine.
No news is better than bad news
    Better late than ever
    Look before you leap
Small spark kindled a big fire
The hand of God is nearer than the door
Spare the stick and spoil the child
You cannot break an old dog off his trot
A bird in the hand is better than two in a bush
Never take the book by the cover.
Its no use in crying after spilt milk.
Never trust children or fools with edged tools
Cows in Connaught wear long horns
    Be kind to damb animals.
If one get an inch they will take a mile
A burned child dreads the fire
Dont change a cloud till May is out
You cannot expect anything from a pig but a grunt
    Bad egg bad bird
A rolling stone gathers no moss
Its a bad wind that blows good for somebody
