- Some time ago boys and girls used to make little toys for there brothers and sisters such as horses and some things like that, when they have time to spare. The boys used to make little horses and cars, and the girls used to make dolls for little girls, and little rabbits and things like that, nearly every one of them were able to make something.

60 yrs. - The little boys in days gone by used to make cribs for birds, and it was out of sallies they used to make them. Sallies are easily bent, and you would want to make a crib for birds. The girls used to make necklaces out of a little block of timber and have them round and others of them squure and paint them with colours and make them very nice
