Here Ryan rests,a man of fame, whom Upperwoods shades did once adorn.
This speaking tomb shall tell his name, to generations yet inborn.
There is much more but this is all can be memorized at present.
The Reverened Michael Murphy one time P,P of Camross while staying at the Imperial Hotel Dublin was accosted by a man who congratulated him on being pastor of the place where O'Ryan lived and was laid to rest. The priest told him he had not even heard tell of him. So on coming home he made inquiries, had the tomb searched for cleaned and reinscribed. x see page 29
