  2. My mother used to make clothes,she was a dressmaker,but she does not make them now. She used to make them in Mountrath with another dressmaker. My great grandmother had a spinning wheel and she spun thread with it. She used to go gathering the wool on the ditches where the sheep were and then bring it home and get a piece of card board and cut it in a square and roll the thread around it.
