    There was an old mill on the farm of Daniel Sawyer Rush Hall in which mass was celebrated in the penal days. Mr Collier said he got this information from his grandfather that he attended mass in the old mill in 1798. Also mass was celebrated in the mass pit in Mannin about the same date.
