  1. Candles: They made their own candles long ago. They had moulds or shapes and melted the tallow into it. Then they drew a wick through the centre and left it standing for a day or days until it hardened well. They made another type of candles called Páidóg.
    It was a bit of linen, twisted it hard and dipped it in the tallow. Then they left it standing until it cooled. Then they were ready to use it. They sheared their own sheep
