  1. I have a churn at home. It is a churn with a stand and two handles. There are two dashers inside in it for to make the cream into butter. There are many kinds of churns, there is one called the churn staff. This is a a little churn that has no stand, there is a stick standing up straight out of it and you have to be pulling it up and down until the butter is made. There are a great many superstitions attached to butter making. If anybody came in while you are making butter you should make them make a dreas of it.
