to open the school the next morning it was burned. There was another school in Elanthee and the teacher taught in an old cabin belonged to Patsy Davoren. I do not know who was teaching in it. There was an old school in Caher Macnaughton. The Macnaughtons owned an old school and the ODavorens taught in it. There were some great scholars taught in those schools. It was in the Noughaville old church that Bishop ODea was taught. Anytime they swept the school it was with a broom it was with a broom they swept it.
