  1. Tom Sullivan (71) Rooskey saw many years ago a large chest dug from Cappy Bog. It was found at the foot of Brady's land only one perch from the Derrysamph Road. It was found by a Shalvey from Dernakish. He left it lying on a rock at Derakish Church for people to see till the sun split it into pieces. The chest was a solid piece of wood cut out of one tree, size and shape being somewhat as shown here.
    There was nothing found with the chest.
