    This is the name of the townland that I live in.
    The furry hedge;
    This is the name of a field, and it gets its name because there are some furze bushes growing on the ditches which surround it.
    Berr's Brook:
    This brook is so called because some people by the name of Berrs lived in a small cabin on its banks. The remains of the cabin are still visible.
    The green hollow:
    This place gets its name because it is in a hollow place situated at the southern side of Carrignameil.
    Boltan's Banks:
    People by the name of Boltans used to cut turf where those banks are situated.
    The standing stone:
    This stone is so called because it is a very large stone and is standing up straight.
