    There is a stream flowing into the river Brosna. It is called the 'Mill Race' because thee was a mill on the bank of it. The ruins of it are at Kincora turn.
    In the Ballydaly bog here is a bush called 'Maher's bush' because the land around it was belonging to a man named Maher.
    A hollow in Aughaoy is called 'Parson's Hollow' because Parson Devine lived there at one time.
    In Spollen's land there is a garden with apples and plums growing in it. It is called 'Coughlin's Garden' because a man named Coughlan lived there long ago.
    In Coffey's field there is a hill called 'Kennedy's Hill.' A grove grows on top of the hill. There is a cliff on it also. It is called this name because a man named Kennedy owned it in years gone by.
