Scald: get the bark of an elder tree and boil it. When it is well boiled, take it up and pound it until it is like paste. Then get a bit of hog's lard and mix it up into an ointment and put it on the scald.
The best cure for muscles, sprains or hurts is goose-grease.
Burns: A man in Lemonaghan is noted for curing burns, by licking the burn with his tongue.
Chin-Cough: The cure for the Chin Cough is to bring a white ass on the floor and let the child that has the Chin Cough go under the ass three times in the name of the Father, Son,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
