    When the cat stretches and sharpens her nails it denotes rain.
    All farm animals go to the high-lands and lie in a cluster as a sign of rain.
    The goat comes down from the hills when a storm is near.
    When hills appear to be near it denotes rain.
    When they appear to be far away it denotes good weather.
    Dust on roadways denotes good dry weather.
    The sea is calm in good weather and rough in bad weather.
    The water of lakes look black in bad weather and look clear in good weather.
    When butterfly's are to be seen flying about it is a sign of good weather.
    When Daddy long kegs and spiders are to be seen it is sure sign of bad weather.
    When smoke goes up straight it denotes fine weather.
    When it goes in all directions it denotes rain.
    When the fire burns bright or clear it denotes it denotes frost.
    When it burns dull it denotes rain.
    When the ashes is blue it denotes rain.
