- The old school in Killagriff was built one hundred years ago. The principal teacher was Miss Faughiner. There was an upstairs portion in it, and the boys were taught upstairs and the girls were taught downstairs.
There was a stairs up to the top from the outside of the school. There were about fifty children attending that school. It was closed, as there was not enough pupils at it about fifty years ago.
- About thirty years ago, a woman called Mary the wheel-chair, went about from house to house looking for alms. She was so called because she had but one leg, and went about from place to place on a chair with wheels.
When she reached a house she used to call at the gate for help. The people in the house used to wheel her chair to the next house. The people in that house used to wheel her chair to the next house, and so on until night.
