  1. There is a well dedicated to St Bridget in Liscannor which is about four and a half miles from Ennistymon. Spiritual and temperol favours are obtained when visiting this well where certain prayers are said. A promise must be made to leave something at the well when the favour is granted. It is said that anyone who beleives in the St. will allways see the eel and that her favour will be granted.
