    The Penal Days were very severe in some parts of Ireland. They were not so severe around county Clare. The priest used say Mass out in the open air. Mass used be said in a garden belonging to Michael Fineral in Ennistymon. It was about one hundred and fifty years ago since the mass was said in Michael Fineral’s garden
