  1. A house situated in the New Road by the name of Jack O'Brien's house was a kind of school long ago. A man by the name of Paddy Kelliher was teaching there and a great teacher he was. People used to bring sods of turn to sit on while this man was teaching them. There were no desks that time and the people were far better than the people are now. He was a greatold Irish teacher and the people he taught were great Irish speakers. Of course some of them are dead and some of them are living.
