  1. There were once three boys who were lazy. They were lying on the road side one day, and a man passed them by and said, "I will give sixpence to the laziest boy". The first boy stood up and said "give it to me for I am the laziest". The second boy also stood up and said, "put it in my pocket for I am the laziest"; but the third stayed lying on the roadside and said "I am the laziest boy put it in my pocket". The third boy got the sixpence because he never stirred and the man said he was the laziest boy of all.
