    off his brothers' heads and took the crowns off the heads of the giants daughters. Then he put the crowns on his brothers' heads and the nightcaps on the giant's daughters When the giant came to kill the children it was his own daughters he killed instead of the boys. When morning came the boys ran off and the giant followed them. One of the boys dug a hole and put some branches over it, and when the giant was coming along after them he fell into the hole and was killed.
