  1. About five miles from Borrisokane there lived a person whose name was Willie Brennan. This man was very lenient towards the poor, and in order to provide money for them he used to rob it from the rich people. When this was found out the soldiers were on to his track, and on that account he used to hide in the woods, particularly that of Drominagh, about five miles from Borrisokane. After some time he was arrested and sentence to be hanged at Clonmel.
Before his execution he enquired if anyone from Terryglas, five and a half miles from Borrisokane, was near-by, and said there was gold hidden at "The Windy Gap" in Drominagh. Several attempts have been made to unearth it, but as no-one knew where "The Windy Gap" was, the gold was never discovered.
