The common birds found around here are the Thrush, Lark, Blackbird, Hedgesparrow, Cuckoo, Corncrakes, Sallypicker and the Robin.
The Robin is said tho have picked a thorn off our Lord's head when he was dying on the cross and that a drop of blood fell on his breast. The Robin makes her nest in the hedge with moss and hay. She lays small brown eggs. She sits on the eggs about three weeks.
The Cuckoo comes to us in the end of spring. She does not make any nest she lays her eggs in another bird's nest generally, the Hedgesparrow, so that the Cuckoo is always followed by the Hedgesparrow.The Sparrow makes her nest on the ground in the meadow she stays on the eggs three weeks.
