- The Games We Play
The games we play are Heigh Ho, Blind Man's Buff, Hide the Slipper and Ring a Ring a Rosy. The words used in Heigh Ho are as follows:
“Heigh Ho, tipay toe,
Turn the ship and away we go.
Jim and Jack dressed in black,
Silver buttons behind their backs,
Heigh Ho, tipay toe,
Turn the ship and away we go”.
This is played with two girls who cross hands and go singing as above.
Ring a Rosy is played as follows: two children form a ring and round and round singing, “Ring a Ring a Rosy, Bottle full of posies,
Ita Ita we all fall down”.
Blind Man's Buff is played as follows: one child is blindfolded and she goes round with her hands stretched out and who ever she catches goes round as before so the game goes on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
