- The Local Roads
The names of the local roads are the Main Road, Kishikirk Road, Scart Road and Sandylane.
All those roads as named are branches of the main road which runs from Waterford to Limerick.
The oldest man in the district does not remember when the roads were made.
All the roads as named are being used at present. The local roads were there for years before the famine period. Long ago dancing always took place at crossroads, but is not done here at the present time.
A Mass path leads through the farms of Barry, Walsh and Fitzgerald. It is an very old path-way long ago a road ran at the back of our house. It is closed up and no sight of it at all.
On Scart Road there is a drain and a white woman is to be seen and heard rattling chains.
