  1. The Banshee is firmly believed to exist by the people of the district.
    A woman named Mrs Harris was dying in this district. One night the women heard awful crying at the back of the house. On looking out they saw a woman sitting on a stone combing her hair.
    The rule of the "Banshee" is that she follows all Mac's and O's.
    Crying was heard at the deaths of members of the following families:-
    O'Reilly, Slattery, O'Brien & Wall.
