    Long ago the people used to get married on Shrove Tuesday. At that time they would have no motor and the Bride and Groom used to walk to where they would get married. Some of them would go on side cars and after they would get married they would go to some friends house and spend the day there. The people used to say that Friday was a very unlucky day to get married. They also said that if that day was raining the Bride would have a tear on her eye always. The neighbour used to give a tea-set to the Bride as dowry and some times they would gave the Groom a horse and other people would bye him a new overcoat for him as a present. Some times they would select a certain house in some district and they would get married in it, and that night they would get a half-barrell of
