  1. The Druids long ago were hunted out of the churches and they had to flee for their lives.
    Anyone of them escaped had to bury their goods under a tree. They said Mass in the woods at lonely places & the people came in crowds around them. If by chance soldiers came by, they had to hide or else they were put to death. One time two men from out side Gowran went to look for the Druids goods but died going home.
