    Oh Mary this Gowran's a wonderful sight
    For the rain it keeps pouring from morning till night.
    We cant dig potatoes nor harvest the wheat on account of the rain and the snow and the sleet.
    I asked for my pals its this I am told
    That every Jack is in bed with a cold
    Ah Mary my darling how else can it be.
    While the pourings of Gowran speep down to the sea.
