  1. Some old customs are still observed in this countywith regards to the Holy Family. It is said that on Christmas Eve as the Blessed Virgin & St Joseph were going to Bethelem they were groping their way as it was very dark & people put candle's in their window's in order to show them light & ever since everyone put Christmas candles (as they are called) in their Windows from the time it gets dark.
