  1. I live in the Townland of Gowran, Parish of Gowran, Barony of Gowran. There is a lot of families & roughly eight hundred people. Most houses are slated except some very old ones.
    Pat Murphy, Jack Mehan, & Tommy Lawless. The name most common is Walsh & after that Murphy.
    Houses were more numerous long ago but most of them were knocked when Cromwell came to Gowran. The End of the Fianna was held at the Battle of Gowran 284 A.D.
