  1. We have no churn but my Granny has one. It is about 1 1/2 ft high & same width. It is a small churn laid on the table. If anyone came in while the churning was going on they should turn the handle for a few minutes through some superstition people think that the butter would disappear otherwise.
    Water is added to help keep the butter together.
