  1. The people who had disease used to go to people who had cures for them. A toothache could be cured by steeping bread in hot water & putting it to the tooth. This was a cure made by Jim Morrissey.
    Corns were cured by boiling marshmallows & straining the water off them & then rubbing them to the corns these were cured by Mrs Murphy Flagmount. There is a holy well in Skeough. People used to take water from it to cure headaches.
