  1. About half a century ago Fr. Cawley was curate in the parish of Achonry. During his stay in the parish he was noted for the many miraculous deeds which he performed. One of the most wonderful being the restoring of peace and comfort to the inhabitants of a haunted house.
The house was haunted by a man who appeared at midnight each night. He was known to spend two or three hours travelling one of the rooms and then to disappear through the window making a terrible crash.
