   commonly known as the Glaise. There is also a height in William Quilter's land of Ballyrehan. This height is about twenty feet high and on top of it is a cluster of trees and these trees never get green during Summer. They always stay withered. It is believed that one evening a man was standing on the top of the height and the Black and Tans saw him and they shot him dead.
   There is a large rock in this locality and it is in the townland of Lixnaw. This rock is known as "The Clochar" and several people of this parish come and draw stones from it for building purpose. This rock called "The Clochar" is near our school.
   There is a large bush in the townland of Ballinagar and it is known as the "Cranes' Bush." The reason this is called the "Cranes' Bush" is because it is believed that a great number of cranes used to build their nests there every year. This bush is still to be seen in Ballinagar.
   There is an ancient house in the townland of "Old Counts" and it is called the "Cock House." The reason this is called the
