    The old floors were made of clay. Half doors were common in the district in olden times and they still exist. Mrs. Lipsett, Cashel, Cavangarden has one. Mrs. Clarke, Ardeelin, Rossnowlagh has also one.
    In olden times the fuel consisted of wood and turf.
    Bog-deal splinters and candles were used as light long ago.
